What is a
Playgroup?
Playgroup is for
babies, toddlers and preschoolers, and their parents or carers.
Playgroups are
informal, low cost and run by the parent and caregivers in them.
What can we
get out of a playgroup?
Adults stay with
their children at playgroup. This gives them the chance to meet other
people going through similar experiences and ease the isolation that
can come with caring for young children. Families can be gently
introduced to community, health and support services while they are
at playgroup.
Playgroup aged
children are going through a stage of rapid brain and skill
development. Children who go to playgroup can make new friends, have
new experiences, gain self-confidence and develop physically,
socially, emotionally and intellectualy.
How to join in.
If you would like
to become a member of our playgroup you are more than welcome
to come along and see for yourself what we are all about.
We meet every
Friday during the school term, at 9.30am until 11.30am at the Lake
Boga Preschool.
Cost is $3 per
family per week and a once off payment of $40 insurance to the
Playgroup Victoria Association. A discount applies to concession card holders.
Bring a piece of
fruit to share for snack time.
